It's a sad day: Adam Yauch, a.k.a. MCA of the Beastie Boys, died Friday at age 47 after a battle with cancer. And while influence surely was most felt in the world of music, Yauch also involved himself in sports.

Most notable: the 2008 documentary "Gunnin' for that #1 Spot," directed and produced by Yauch, which follows eight elite high school basketball players during a tournament at New York's famous Rucker Park. And you might recognize a few of those names: Jerryd Bayless, Michael Beasley, Tyreke Evans, Donte Greene, Brandon Jennings, Kevin Love, Kyle Singler and Lance Stephenson.
