EA Sports and Tottenham Hotspur agreed to a three-year deal on Thursday, making EA Sports the exclusive video game partner of the English Premier League club.
As part of the partnership, Tottenham will allow EA producers to conduct 3-D head scans of all of its players, while EA promises to create a special “FIFA 13” Tottenham game sleeve that will be made available to the club’s fans via download prior to the game’s release September 25.
In addition, the new partnership also promises to further intertwine Tottenham Hotspur into the “FIFA" franchise, highlighted by the ability for fans to predict match outcomes using the video game, exclusive videos featuring Tottenham players and even a “Madden” Bowl-type tournament between the club’s best gamers to determine the best “FIFA 13” player on the team.
There will be an EA Sports mobile gaming trailer at select Tottenham home matches throughout the course of the season, enabling fans to play a variety of EA Sports games between action on the pitch.
Tottenham Hotspur is the eighth English Premier League team to reach such an agreement with EA Sports, joining Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Everton, Fulham, Newcastle and Manchester City.
