Missouri: Welcome to the SEC.

In the Tigers’ first conference game as a member of the Southeastern Conference, No. 7 Georgia stole a 24-21 victory from Missouri in our “NCAA 13” simulation with a late 35-yard touchdown run by running back Todd Gurley, who posted his second consecutive 100-yard rushing performance of the season.

It was the first time the two teams played in more than 50 years.

It looked like Missouri was going to begin its SEC citizenship with a victory when quarterback James Franklin found T.J. Moe for a 40-yard touchdown strike midway through the first quarter. But Georgia wouldn’t be denied in the end.

James Franklin also had a touchdown pass to Marcus Lucas and ran in a score from 15 yards.

Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray had two touchdown passes, one each to Tavarres King and Michael Bennett.
