2K Sports announced today that “NBA 2K13” will debut Oct. 2 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PC, and PSP, with the Wii U version launching later in the year (the Wii U launch date has yet to be revealed).

In addition, gamers who pre-order “NBA 2K13” for the 360 or PS3 will receive a bonus NBA All-Star DLC pack sponsored by Sprite. All-Star content will be set in Houston, site of the 2013 NBA All-Star game, and features the three-point shootout, Rising Stars Challenge, and the dunk contest.

In addition, the game enables you to utilize players past and present in both the dunk contest and three-point shootout. So if you want to pit LeBron James against Michael Jordan or Blake Griffin against Dominique Wilkins in a dream dunk-off, the choice is yours.

And according to the press release, the dunk contest this year will feature “all-new, intuitive, pick-up-and-play controls.”

If that means alley-oops from the sun roof as I jump over a car, count me in.
