Throughout the last two decades, the power in video games has been passed around between Nintendo, Sega, Sony and Microsoft. And with the next generation of consoles right around the corner -- the Wii U comes out later this year, while the PS4 and Xbox 720 are rumored for release in late 2013 -- there's no telling who'll grab hold of the market next.

So where are we right now? The website DealNews.com polled its users on what they're playing, how much they're spending, and what they think of the gaming industry today. The results are shown in the infographic below.
