NASCAR avatars hit Xbox LIVE

By Jon Robinson

NASCAR avatars
There's a new way to represent your favorite NASCAR driver on Xbox LIVE.
You might not be able to walk around your house dressed like Dale Earnhardt Jr. (OK, maybe you can, but it would be a little hot to watch TV in a firesuit), but thanks to NASCAR video game developer Eutechnyx, at least your avatars will be able to strut through the Xbox LIVE world like your favorite racer.

Available exclusively on Xbox 360, the collection includes the driver firesuits, helmets, and cars of everyone from Kasey Kahne and Jimmy Johnson to Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart.

Said Blake Davidson, VP, Brand Licensing, NASCAR Merchandise: “Driver apparel continues to be our strongest line of licensed merchandise both at the track and around the world. To take this into Xbox LIVE is a natural extension to our program and we’re delighted to be able to deliver this via our video game partner, Eutechnyx.”

Gear starts at just 160 Microsoft points for helmets, with cars costing 320, and 400 for the full uniform.
