'NCAA 13' sim: Clemson at Florida State

By Zach McCann

Each week, we will simulate one big-ticket college football game on the EA Sports Simulation Engine. For video of the simulation, courtesy of EA Sports, click above.

When No. 4 FSU hosts No. 10 Clemson on Saturday night, it’s the ultimate strength vs. strength matchup: FSU’s defense, which has allowed only three points all season, looks to slow down Clemson’s potent and versatile offensive attack.

When the EA Sports Simulation Engine played it out for our weekly simulation, the Tigers’ offense won out.

Clemson’s Tajh Boyd led the Tigers on a game-winning touchdown drive in the fourth quarter, finding tight end Brandon Ford for a last-minute touchdown as the Tigers won 30-27 in the simulation.

There was little the Seminoles could do to stop Boyd and the Tigers’ offense.

Boyd also found Sammy Watkins for a 32-yard score in the first half, and Clemson running back Andre Ellington ran for over 100 yards, including a 61-yeard score in the third quarter.

Florida State enjoyed touchdown runs by James Wilder Jr. from 12 yards out and Chris Thompson from 8 yards out, but it wasn’t enough.
