'MLB 2K13' releases new rules for Challenge
By Jon Robinson
Gio Gonzalez promises to put fat stacks in your wallet, and if you play 2K Sports’ “MLB 2K13” Perfect Game Challenge as the virtual pitcher, he might be right, as this year the overall winner of the annual competition will walk away with $250,000.
Also new to the competition this year: Gamers who throw the best perfect games for each team (criteria includes strength of opponent, rating of pitcher and number of strikeouts) will win $25,000 each.
The four players who record the highest scores will then move on to a tournament in New York during MLB All-Star week with a chance to earn that cool, quarter-million-dollar grand prize.
Contestants must be 13 years or older, with the competition beginning April 1 at 9:00:01 a.m. PT and ending April 30 at 11:59:59 p.m. PT.
