Tracy Morgan's show "30 Rock" finished its seven-year run Thursday night on NBC, but it's really just the beginning for Morgan.
• He's in New Orleans this week to promote his new relationship with MiO, a zero-calorie liquid beverage mix. His commercial will air Sunday during the Super Bowl.
• He's set to embark on a stand-up comedy tour called "Excuse My French" in March.
• And on Thursday, he and his fiancee, Megan Wollover, announced that she's pregnant with their first child together.
Playbook had a few minutes with Morgan to talk about his crazy world.
Wow. Your preview clip even has a bleep in it!
"Hey, I come from a stand-up background. This is being done with class. It's not over the top. I think it's appropriate."
You've always spoken your mind and have gotten in trouble in the past. How have you matured?
"I've matured a lot. You live. You learn. You live. You learn again. Life is all about crisis management. It's how you handles these crises. I have to be a role model for my kids. I want to remain stable, grounded and center."
Do you have any regrets?
"Absolutely not. Not one thing in my life. If I changed anything, I wouldn't be who I am. I wouldn't be me. And I love me."
And you love New Orleans, too.
"If I could have one word to describe it, it's this: electricity. It's the Big Easy, baby. It's a great host for the Super Bowl. I'm looking forward to next year when the game comes to New York. I'm on the welcoming committee."
Who do you think will win?
"My team is always the Giants. But, if I have to pick a team, I'd go down I-95. I'm looking for the Ravens to win. I want to see my boy Ray Lewis go out on top."
Just like your show "30 Rock."
"The fans always showed love by watching that show. We did seven good years of smart, funny TV. It meant a lot to us as a cast to be in America's homes. It was a beautiful thing."
Did you keep anything?
"Only T.J.'s chain. I had that for seven years."
Strange to move on?
"It's all about making adjustments. I'm ready to go on this tour, and I want to hear my own voice again. I was this very funny character for seven years. But it's going to be great to get back to Tracy Morgan again."
