With every home run this season, Evan Longoria is not only helping his team win, but also ensuring baseball facilities in the Tampa Bay will be refurbished. As part of the “Tampa’s Got Wings” program announced today with the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, Evan Longoria and Red Bull will donate $1,000 for each home run. And Longoria and Red Bull also will donate $500 per RBI. All of the money raised will go into improvements at two of Tampa Bay’s most-used baseball facilities (Belmont Heights Little League Park and the Cross Bayou Little League Complex), both in need of help and repairs.

The site of www.redbullusa.com/TampasGotWings will be the central hub for tracking his real-time home run and RBI totals, as well as allowing the community to give back by spreading the word of the Tampa’s Got Wings program. For every tweet from the site, Evan Longoria and Red Bull will donate an additional $1 to the fields, shedding light on the improvement needs of the facilities across Tampa Bay and beyond.
