With X Games in the rearview mirror, skateboarder Ryan Sheckler is back on his movie, putting the finishing touches on his film with his Plan B teammates.
"I'm really looking forward to this project being done," said the 22-year-old Sheckler, who has won six X Games medals since 2003. "It's been fun. It's really my first full-length video in about five years."
The Plan B Skateboarding Team, founded in 1991, has pro team members Sheckler, Danny Way, PJ Ladd, Dorien Walker, Pat Duffy, Colin McKay, Paul Rodriguez Jr. and Torey Pudwill.
It's been a long time coming as this project of the athletes skateboarding through picturesque settings throughout the world has been off and on for years.
"Everyone now is working toward the same goal," Sheckler insists. "It's nearly the whole team. We're all working together to get this done, and soon."
It's interesting that Sheckler is getting back in front of the camera.
He's been distancing himself from that since he had his reality show -- "Life of Ryan" -- on MTV from 2007 to 2009. He filmed 29 episodes in three years but thought the reality show took him away from his first love: skateboarding.
And he's been doing well in competitions ever since.
In 2010, he won X Games gold; In 2011, he won bronze; and this year, he took silver behind his Plan B teammate Paul Rodriguez.
"I really needed this," he said after the competition, "and I feel great."
Fans -- mostly girls -- are still flocking to him. In a recent autograph session, girls waited two hours in 90-degree weather to wait, as he eventually signed 225 items before he had to break away.
"These people are waiting in line to see me, and the least I can do is sign whatever they have," Sheckler said. "Fans are the best. I'd do whatever for them. After this, it's back on the streets to skateboard again."
