The All-Star Game wasn't much of a contest, with the National League winning 8-0. The event scored on social media with the participants tweeting live from Kansas City and All-Star Game related topics trending throughout the night. The National League put things away early with a five-run first inning -- highlighted by Pablo Sandoval's big hit:

It was a big night for the Giants -- Matt Cain got the win and Melky Cabrera, who played for the Kansas City last season, homered and was named MVP. Giants fans, urged on by the team via social media, led a late voting surge that got Cabrera and Sandoval elected to the NL squad.

Among players who tweeted, Washington pitcher Stephen Strasburg was impressed with his competition:

Michael Waltrip, Kristin Chenoweth and Drew Brees are battling for the cover spot for Country Time's new "Half & Half" iced tea-lemonade drink. Things got a little headed on the campaign trail Tuesday when a new candidate entered the race:

Speaking of iced tea-lemonade drinks, LeBron James posted this photo of some wild "LeBronold Palmer" themed shoes:

NASCAR's Brad Keselowski, never shy about speaking his mind on Twitter, urged his followers to speak out to Minnesota Congresswoman Betty McCollum, who supported the U.S. Army's decision to end its NASCAR sponsorship and is urging the National Guard to do the same.

Finally, action sports legend Tony Hawk took his followers back in time:
