On the first night of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars," the show went as expected. The four athletes -- Emmitt Smith, Shawn Johnson, Apolo Ohno and Helio Castroneves -- were leading the way out of the 13 contestants on the 10-week dance elimination show.
Easily the best dance of the night, Smith and partner Cheryl Burke scored 24.5 out of 30 points. It might not seem fair because both were together when Smith won Season 3.

Johnson, who said she hasn't done much dancing since winning Season 8, and Derek Hough danced a good foxtrot and scored 22.

Ohno and partner Karina Smirnoff danced a colorful Cha Cha, and judge Carrie Ann Inaba exclaimed, "Is it just me or did you just get 3,000 times more sexy?" The duo scored 22.

The athlete that really surprised us was Castroneves, who has just finished his racing season and jumped right on the dance floor with Chelsie Hightower. He wasn't fluid but his smile charmed the judges. He scored 21.5.
Thanks for the support everyone, great start ,now we got to keep going...hopefully. Good job partner @chelsiehightowr u r awesome!

The most dreadful dancer was Pamela Anderson, partnered with Tristan MacManus. The Cha Cha looked horrendous. It's unclear who her fan base is anymore, so with a score of 17, she likely will be the first sent home tonight.
