IndyCar driver Helio Castroneves was shocked last week when he finished in the bottom two of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars."
On Tuesday, the Season 5 champion wasn't as shocked when he was down there again.
Castroneves, along with Sabrina Bryan, Bristol Palin, Kirstie Alley and past champion Drew Lachey, were in danger of being sent home for having the lowest scores out of the 11 contestants. Elimination is a combination of the three judges' scores and the votes of the viewers.
Castroneves was concerned the four athletes on the show -- Shawn Johnson, Emmitt Smith, Apolo Ohno and himself -- would split the votes.
That didn't seem to be what happened. It has become more of a popularity contest this fall.
Palin and Alley, who both have looked awful this season, have scores near the bottom each week but survive on the fans' votes.
When Castroneves and Lachey were voted off, boos rained in the ABC studio.
“I want to thank my family and [partner] Chelsie Hightower," Castroneves said on the show, "and I want to thank America. ... I couldn't be happier."
