Unique NBA-themed version of 'Jingle Bells'

The NBA celebrates Christmas with five games, including two from Staples Center in Los Angeles. Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, Jason Kidd and James Harden got into the Christmas spirit a bit early by singing a unique NBA-themed version of “Jingle Bells” in this video posted on YouTube.

The revised version of the James Lord Pierpont classic features lyrics such as, “Dashing down the court, on a three-on-one fast break ... over the D he jumps, dunking all the way! The way we play the game is such a pretty sight, oh what fun it is to play on Christmas day and night1"

The action begins at noon ET on ESPN with Boston at Brooklyn. Kidd and the New York Knicks visit the Lakers at Staples Center starting at 3 p.m. on ABC, followed on ABC by Oklahoma City making a stop at Miami in an NBA Finals rematch starting at 5:30 p.m. Play returns to ESPN at 8 p.m., when Harden and Houston visit Chicago. The schedule ends with Griffin, Paul and the Clippers closing out the holiday at Staples Center against Denver starting at 10:30 p.m.

But fans can get into the action starting Monday, thanks to American Express, by sharing their NBA holiday experiences on Twitter. One lucky fan (and a guest) will win a trip to see their favorite team play in a city of their choice during the remainder of the NBA regular season. Five second-place winners will get $100 NBAStore.com gift cards.

To participate, fans must follow @AmericanExpress on Twitter and tweet a photo to @AmericanExpress with the hastag #NBASpirit that shows "how you celebrate the holidays with the NBA." Fans do not have to be card members to win.

Ads will appear on Facebook and Twitter, as well as on some upcoming NBA social channels.

American Express has a long-standing history with the NBA in its advertising and has a broad partnership deal with the league. The company recently launched a promotion with Deron Williams of the Nets in which two lucky fans won tickets and access to the American Express Vault Suite at Barclays Center and met Williams after submitting videos showing their passion for sports, music or entertainment.

That inspired us to take a look at our favorite sports figure who has served as an American Express spokesman in past advertising.
