Trending: Game 7, MNF, Presidential debate

If politics isn't your thing and you want to avoid the final debate between President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, the Cardinals and Giants play Game 7 for the National League pennant in San Francisco and the Bears and Lions face off in "Monday Night Football."

Of course, someone is always willing to kick the political football:

I hope tonight's Lions-Bears game doesn't end in a 47-47 tie.

In life, as in politics, it always helps to have connections -- or in this case, a spot in the Bears' starting lineup:

In an elevator a guy asked, "Are you watching the Bears tomm." Me= yes The guy= where? Me= I have field passes. #MNF

When the Giants beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-1 in Game 6 of the NLCS on Sunday night, 49ers running back Anthony Dixon, whose team was off after beating Seattle on Thursday, found himself caught up in the celebration:

They crazy out here on the block lol Go Giants

— Anthony Dixon (@Boobie24Dixon) October 22, 2012

As was his teammate:

Game 7 Back in the City. Let's Go Giants.

After the Giants forced Game 6 Friday night -- rap star Lil’ Wayne sent San Francisco's Ryan Theriot some encouragement via Twitter. They are friends due to their shared Louisiana roots and that connection led to Lil Wayne's appearance at AT&T Park on Sunday:

Just sung "take me out to the ball game" @ the Giants game!!! A true life highlight! I thank San Fran for rokkin wit me!

— Lil Wayne WEEZY F (@LilTunechi) October 22, 2012

So how did Lil’ Wayne (also known as Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.,) do? Judge it for yourself:

Some critics were not impressed:

Lil Wayne in serious need of some autotune on "Take Me Out to the Ballgame."

Lil' Wayne stopping by the SF Giants game to sing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game"… WHY would they allow this?! #SMH

At least Theriot got a pinch-hit RBI single.

• Brooklyn Nets guard Deron Williams is trying to help raise $100,000 to support autism research and announced on Comedy Central’s “Night of Too Many Stars” that aired Sunday night he will get a temporary tattoo -- of either actress Betty White, the "The Dramatic Chipmunk" or comedian Yakov Smirnoff -- and wear it during opening night at the Barclays Center on Nov. 1 if the goal is reached.

Please help me get the Betty White Tattoo she is my celeb crush😂😂😂. #2MANYSTARS

During the show, Williams either missed Hoda Kotb's introduction or, more likely, found himself victimized by his smartphone's spell-checker:

On set w/ Paul Rudd, Jimmy Kimmel, Honda Cope, and Seth Meyers
