Dec. 18, 1988: It didn't clinch their best record. It didn't seal their first playoff berth. But this day 26 years ago did bring the Seattle Seahawks something to which they had never laid claim -- a division title.

It came thanks to a 43-37 win at the Los Angeles Raiders, whose divisional record (6-1 entering the weekend) would have given it the tiebreaker over Denver and Seattle had all three teams finished 8-8. Instead, Seattle ended up 9-7, and grabbed that division title ... something the now-NFC West Seahawks still can wrest from the San Francisco 49ers this season.
