If there was any question who tennis’ big four are, look no further. With the exception of the ailing Rafael Nadal, it’s safe to assume Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer or Andy Murray will wind up with the Aussie Open winner’s trophy in tow.
But who are the outside contenders? Meet the little four, who, aside from the nimble David Ferrer, aren’t so little. Can Juan Martin del Potro find his winning Slam ways again? What about the multi-talented but enigmatic Tomas Berdych? Of course, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was a finalist here a few years ago.
And then there is a whole host of others.
So … will anyone outside the big four make serious noise Down Under?
