June 4, 1976: Think Sunday night's Boston Celtics-Miami Heat overtime game was intense? Just check the scoreboard that hung above the head of Glenn McDonald on this day 36 years ago.

No, that "7" under "Period" was no scorekeeping error. This was the seventh frame of that game -- as in, the third overtime of Game 5 from the Celtics' NBA Finals series against the Phoenix Suns.

To fully recap would require hundreds (thousands?) of words. A quicker version can be read here. We'll just put it this way: There's a reason even some Suns fans consider this -- a 128-126 Boston win -- perhaps the greatest game in league history.
