That's when Patrick Roy (pictured) and the Montreal Canadiens added to their record total of NHL championships by beating the Los Angeles Kings 4-1 (game and series). Since then, the Cup has traveled to Dallas, Tampa, Raleigh and Anaheim, but not the land up north.
