July 31, 2007: On a day that typically sees scores of Major League Baseball trades, a big one in the NBA took place five years ago: Kevin Garnett from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Boston Celtics, in exchange for Al Jefferson and several other players and picks.
It almost didn't happen; Garnett originally did not want to sign long-term in Boston. But he relented, and ... well, we know how that worked out.
