Aug. 4, 1936: This month 76 years ago brought the amazing feat of Jesse Owens, who did his best to refute Adolf Hitler's pro-Aryan claims by winning four gold medals at the Berlin Olympics. This day 76 years ago brought a special moment in those Games, one featuring Owens and unlikely companion/German long jump opponent Luz Long, whose advice helped the former eventually claim gold. The above video, from Team USA's YouTube channel, tells the story.
