Sept. 2, 2006: It didn't take long for Kevin Kouzmanoff to create a Major League memory. On this day six years ago, the then-Cleveland Indians call-up became the third player in history to hit a grand slam in his first MLB at-bat and, according to Baseball Almanac, the first to do so on the first pitch he saw (off the Texas Rangers' Edinson Volquez).

Here's betting this walk through the tunnel felt pretty good.
Patrick Dorsey is a Los Angeles-based writer and editor for ESPN.com. He has worked for the Web and newspapers. He also played in one Division-III golf tournament (he shot 105).
