Oct. 11, 1992: One month and three years after he saw his first NFL action, two-sport star Deion Sanders played in another football contest. Then went to -- and suited up for -- a baseball game. One-thousand, two-hundred miles away. On the same day.
Yes, the Atlanta Falcons cornerback and return man-slash-Atlanta Braves outfielder -- fresh off a flight from Pittsburgh and a pinch-hit appearance the night before -- caught a pass and made three returns against the Miami Dolphins at Joe Robbie Stadium, then suited up against the Pirates in Game 5 of the National League Championship Series that night at Three Rivers Stadium (after arriving via helicopter).
"Prime Time" didn't play in prime time -- and neither of his teams won -- but he still is believed to be the only player ever to suit up for two major North American pro teams on the same day.
