The Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant needed 38 points Thursday to claim the NBA scoring title from Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder. But Bryant is sitting out, meaning we won't see a repeat of this moment in the 1993-94 season, when San Antonio's David Robinson scored 71 on the final day to beat Shaquille O'Neal for the honor.

Patrick Dorsey works for SportsNation. He has worked for the Web and newspapers, had a cup of craft service coffee in film school, and played in one Division III golf tournament (he shot 105).
