Oct. 30, 2001: They had played baseball in New York City. They had played World Series games, too. But they hadn't played a World Series game at Yankee Stadium since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

So on this day 11 years ago, after two games in Phoenix, baseball's biggest stage shifted to NYC for an emotional Game 3 -- one the Yankees won 2-1 to cut their series deficit to the same margin against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
