Revisiting Adam Yauch/MCA's hoops doc
By ESPN Playbook
It's a sad day. Adam Yauch, aka MCA of the Beastie Boys, died Friday at age 47 after a battle with cancer. While his influence surely was most felt in the world of music, Yauch also involved himself in sports.
Most notable is the 2008 documentary "Gunnin' for that #1 Spot," directed and produced by Yauch, which follows eight elite high school basketball players during a tournament at New York's famous Rucker Park. You might recognize a few of the names: Jerryd Bayless, Michael Beasley, Tyreke Evans, Donte Greene, Brandon Jennings, Kevin Love, Kyle Singler and Lance Stephenson.
