Yearbook, July 16: Yankees bust the books

July 16, a long time ago: Joe DiMaggio. Babe Ruth. Both produced record-breaking moments on this day decades ago. In 1941, it was DiMaggio (left, pictured in the 1930s) hitting safely in Game No. 56 -- you might have heard of this record. Ruth (right, pictured in the 1920s) made his mark in 1920, becoming the first major leaguer to hit 30 home runs in a season. He finished with 54.
