Yearbook, Aug. 26: Another landmark debut

Aug. 26, 1947: On the far right of this 1950 photo is Jackie Robinson, who made his immortal debut on April 15, 1947, becoming the first black player in Major League Baseball history. Next to him? Brooklyn Dodgers teammate Dan Bankhead, who on this day 65 years ago took the mound in the second inning and became MLB's first-ever black pitcher.
