Dunlap loses out on $1M in incentives

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A league source confirmed to ESPN Insider Adam Caplan that San Diego Chargers starting left tackle King Dunlap will miss out on the potential to earn up to $1 million in incentives by missing his fourth game of the season.

According to Caplan, Dunlap will earn a minimum of $2.4 million ($950,000 in base salary, $950,000 signing bonus and a $50,000 workout bonus) this season as part of a two-year, $3.7 million deal he signed with the Chargers during the offseason. Dunlap’s deal maxes out at $5.7 million with incentives.

Dunlap suffered two concussions this season, missing two games earlier this year due to the head issue. Dunlap has missed the past two games with a neck injury.
