OFFENSE (Based on 73 snaps)

Offensive analysis: The Chargers overtook the Broncos and are No. 1 in third-down conversions at 48.3 percent a game. The Chargers also are No. 1 in the league in time of possession (33:15) and No. 2 in yards per passing attempt (8.12). ... Mathews' 236 rushes is a career high and No. 5 in the league. ... Even though he played in 46 snaps, Green was not target for the first time in 10 games, as the Chargers focused on running the ball more in two-tight end sets with him on the field. ... Per ESPN Stats & Information, Allen has seven touchdowns this season, the most among rookies. … Rivers finished 5-of-7 for 84 yards and two touchdowns, posting a 151.2 passer rating on third down.

For the second time this season Derek Cox did not play a defensive snap. But he did play eight snaps on special teams. ... In his last three games, Wright has 10 tackles, four pass breakups and an interception.
