With the NFL draft a few hours away, here is my seven-round draft for the San Diego Chargers. Let me know what you think in the comments section.

First round, No. 25 pick: Louis Nix III, 6-4, 307, Notre Dame
Eric’s rationale: The Chargers play the run-heavy NFC West and AFC East this season, and Nix can help San Diego’s defense plug the middle against the run.

Second round, No. 57 pick: Stanley Jean-Baptiste, CB 6-2, 218, Nebraska
Eric’s rationale: San Diego gets a lanky, versatile athlete to upgrade the back end defensively.

Third round, No. 89 pick: Jeremiah Attaochu, OLB 6-3, 252, Georgia Tech
Eric’s rationale: The Chargers get their pass-rusher here.

Fourth round, No. 125 pick: Walt Aikens, CB 6-1, 203, Liberty
Eric’s rationale: San Diego goes back to the well and grabs another corner.

Fifth round, No. 165 pick: Brandon Thomas, 6-3, 317, OL Clemson
Eric’s rationale: Suffered a torn ACL during a workout; he’ll redshirt and be ready for 2015.

Sixth round, No. 201 pick: John Brown, 5-10, 179, WR Pittsburg State
Eric’s rationale: The speedy Brown will immediately help in the return game.

Seventh round, No. 240 pick: Elhadji Ndiaye, OLB 6-4, 243, Nebraska-Kearney
Eric’s rationale: A raw, developmental prospect with natural pass-rush skills.
