SAN FRANCISCO -- Observed in the locker room after the 49ers’ 34-28 victory over Green Bay:

Kaepernick
Bold prediction: San Francisco safety Donte Whitner said 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick will be the NFL's first player to pass for 4,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards this season. "Mark it down," Whitner said. "There are going to be days he beats teams with his legs." Kaepernick threw for a career-high 412 yards and ran for 22 yards Sunday.

Happy with trade: San Francisco offensive lineman Alex Boone weighed in on getting receiver Anquan Boldin, who had 13 catches for 208 yards Sunday, for a sixth-round pick from Baltimore this offseason. "I don't know, but somebody, somewhere might have made a boo-boo," said Boone.

In your face: "If intimidation is your game plan, I hope you have a better one," Kaepernick said of the Packers' chippy defensive plan.

Rookie respect: Many San Francisco players praised 49ers rookie safety Eric Reid. The first-round pick made a big impact in his first NFL game.
