It was a costly divisional playoff win at Carolina for two key San Francisco 49ers offensive players.

Receiver Anquan Boldin and running back Frank Gore were fined $7,875 by the NFL for their actions in the 49ers' 23-10 win against the Panthers last Sunday. Boldin was fined for a head-butt, while Gore’s infraction was for grabbing the facemask of a blitzing defender.

Boldin’s fine is interesting. He was not penalized on the play. Conversely, Carolina defensive back Captain Munnerlyn was penalized for a head-butt during the game, yet was not fined.

Meanwhile, 49ers’ linebacker Dan Skuta was not fined for a questionable penalty that wiped out a sack in the game.
