February, 21, 2014
With the NFL combine underway, let’s take a look at some memorable combine performances by some San Francisco 49ers via ESPN Stats & Information:

In 2006, tight end Vernon Davis put together one of the best shows in recent memory when he ran a 4.38 40-yard dash and had a 42-inch vertical jump. The 49ers took him with the No. 6 overall pick.

Last year, safety Eric Reid had a broad jump of 11 feet 2 inches and it was one of the best performances of the past decade. The 49ers traded up to take Reid with the No. 18 pick.

Here are quarterback Colin Kaepernick's numbers from the 2011 combine: 40-yard dash (4.53), vertical jump (32.5), broad jump (9 feet 7 inches), 3-cone (6.85), 20-yard shuttle (4.18). The 49ers traded up to take Kaepernick with the No. 36 overall pick, in the second round.
