SEATTLE – San Francisco rookie safety Eric Reid is being evaluated in the locker room for a concussion.

Reid went down after he hit Seattle receiver Sidney Rice. Reid stayed on the ground for several moments. He appeared to be lucid and he was communicating with teammates and team personnel when he came off the field.

If Reid does have a concussion he will have to pass a league-mandated test before returning. The first-round pick has an interception in both games this season. Craig Dahl took his place.
