Where 49ers stand on Jackson

ESPN.com's NFL Nation looked at the chances of where standout receiver DeSean Jackson could land now that he has been cut by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Here is how I described his chances of landing with the San Francisco 49ers:
Jackson is a great fit on the field, but, with many big contracts on the horizon, including quarterback Colin Kaepernick, it is doubtful the 49ers would make a big-dollar run at the playmaking wide receiver.
The 49ers earlier denied a report that said they called about Jackson. I think if the price was reasonable -- doubt it will be -- the 49ers could consider it. But there are too many obstacles to think the 49ers are a favorite to land him barring a surprise.
