49ers continue to clear roster room

By Bill Williamson

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The San Francisco 49ers are in the midst of shedding the bottom of the roster as they bring back injured players.

Tuesday, the team cut receiver Marlon Moore. His release was expected. He has just one catch this season despite the 49ers’ desperate need for  production from their receivers.

Moore’s release is another indication Mario Manningham will be activated early next week and be ready to play in the team’s next game, Nov. 10, against visiting Carolina. Manningham must be activated off the PUP list by next Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the 49ers activated rookie defensive lineman Tank Carradine from the PUP list and cut Jermaine Cunningham. More moves are expected in the coming weeks.
