Crabtree and Iupati are entering the final year of their deals. Davis and Boone have two years left on their contracts but they have stayed away from the voluntary portion of this offseason because they are unhappy with their current contracts.
It appears the pollsters believe the two players who are not staying away are the most deserving. It starts with Crabtree. As of 1:50 p.m. ET, he received a whopping 47 percent of the votes. Iupati was second with 23 percent. Boone received 19 percent and Davis received 11 percent of the vote.
I agree with the majority of the voters. Crabtree is a key to the offense and with his contract entering the last year, he needs to be a top priority. Still, I’d be mildly surprised if a deal with Crabtree is struck before the start of the season. I have a feeling we will be talking about Crabtree’s contract into the offseason.
