Lynch ranks No. 8 on the weekly list by ESPN.com's Dan Graziano. Lynch rushed for 102 yards last weekend in the 34-28 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Ironically, so did Wilson, the first 100-yard rushing game of his career. Some of those runs came because he had no other option for avoiding the Colts pass rush.
Wilson ranked fifth on last week's MVP list, but his 15-for-31 passing effort and an inability to lead the Seahawks on a comeback drive in the final two minutes (something he has done six times in his 23 starts) knocked him off the list this week. The Seahawks were 2-for-12 on third down.
Lynch is third in the league in rushing with 410 yards on 96 carries, impressive numbers considering three starters are out on the Seahawks offensive line. And Seattle tight end Zach Miller, a quality blocker, missed the Colts game.
Lynch averages of 82 yards per game and 4.3 yards per carry, which is a little behind his career-best numbers from last season when he rushed for 1,590 yards and averaged 5.0 yards per carry and 99.4 yards per game.
