Some of those Wilson runs came because he was forced out of the pocket, but he was not under the constant pressure he endured one week earlier at Houston. Rookie tackle Michael Bowie had some nice blocks that led to big gains for Lynch.
Rookie tight end Luke Willson had two receptions for 28 yards and also did an adequate job blocking.
Irvin makes a nice return:Bruce Irvin looked strong in his return game from a four-week suspension, playing well is his first game at linebacker. He had four tackles, including one sack.
“I'm just glad to have a job again,” Irvin said. “It was nice to get a little sack, but that doesn't mean nothing because we didn't win. I was a little nervous at first, but as the game went on, I got comfortable.”
Jordan Hill has a good debut: Rookie defensive tackle Jordan Hill, the Seahawks third-round draft choice from Penn State, had two tackles in his NFL debut and clogged things up at the line of scrimmage. Hill had been out with a shoulder injury.
Hauschka stays hot: Unfortunately for Steven Hauschka, most people will only remember the blocked field-goal attempt that became a Colts touchdown. That is the only time he has not put it through the uprights in 13 tries this season. All four field goals Sunday were longer than 35 yards and three were for more than 40 yards.
Kearse the big-play man of the day: Wide receiver Jermaine Kearse blocked a punt that became a safety and made a spectacular leaping touchdown catch of 28 yards when he stretched on the sideline to hit the pylon.
