A check of what's making news around the SEC:
- Auburn is preparing for another Big Cat recruiting weekend. The Tigers ended up signing 10 of the 22 players who showed up a year ago on their way to a top 5 class nationally.
- Former Florida great Jarvis Williams dies of an acute asthma attack. He was 45.
- The Gators won't have to search hard for motivation this summer. All they have to do is turn on the tape from last year's SEC championship game loss to Alabama.
- LPGA star Natalie Gulbis gave former Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin unexpected face time in Esquire Magazine's Sexiest Woman Alive contest.
- Top offensive line prospect Brandon Shell of Charleston, S.C., has Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina among his five finalists. Shell is the nephew of Art Shell.
