South Carolina has added Navy to the 2011 schedule and will pay dearly to do so.
In another example of how the cost of doing business has soared when it comes to scheduling nonconference games, Navy will pocket $950,000 to come to Williams-Brice Stadium in 2011. That's the most the Gamecocks have ever paid as a guarantee for a nonconference opponent to visit.
South Carolina will open the 2011 season against East Carolina in Charlotte, N.C. The Gamecocks' other two nonconference opponents that season will be The Citadel and Clemson.
