The invite list for the NFL combine has been released, and there are 54 players from the SEC on that list.

LSU leads the way with 10 players, a testament to the kind of talent the Tigers had last season. Georgia was second with eight players. Of note, Florida only has four players on the list, which hammers home how young the Gators were last season.

One of the most glaring omissions (to me) on the invite list is Vanderbilt safety Reshard Langford. He's a big hitter, a great leader and played some of his best football in the biggest games.

I was also surprised not to see Kentucky offensive tackle Garry Williams and Mississippi State linebacker Dominic Douglas on the list.
