Long week (season) for Dogs

I can't imagine that Mark Richt has had a longer week as Georgia's football coach as he'll have this next week.

For the first time since 1993, the Bulldogs are 0-2 in the SEC, and for all intents and purposes, out of the Eastern Division race three weeks into the season.

No Eastern Division team has ever lost its first two league games and gone on to play in the SEC championship game.

Tackling was the problem for Georgia's defense in the loss to South Carolina. In Saturday's 31-24 loss to Arkansas, the Bulldogs were torched for big plays.

This has all the ingredients for a long season in Athens.
