Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt is hopeful he will have quarterback Jeremiah Masoli on Saturday against Tennessee, but there are no guarantees.
Nutt said following practice Tuesday that Masoli was limited after being knocked from last week's game with a concussion. For Masoli to be cleared to play, he would have to be free of any concussion symptoms. Masoli is being tested daily.
Nutt reiterated that Ole Miss will be cautious with Masoli and that it's a decision that could go all the way up until Saturday morning.
Nathan Stanley finished the game at quarterback for the Rebels last week in the win over Louisiana-Lafayette.
In a lot of ways, Ole Miss and Tennessee are playing a bowl elimination game on Saturday. The Vols (3-6, 0-5) have to win their last three games to be bowl eligible. The Rebels (4-5, 1-4) need to win two of their last three. They travel to LSU next week and end the season at home against Mississippi State.
