Mississippi State learned on Monday that it will be without leading receiver Chad Bumphis for the bowl game.
Bumphis broke his collarbone in Saturday's win against Ole Miss, and tests Monday confirmed the break.
The Bulldogs were already without senior receiver Leon Berry, who's been out since dislocating his ankle in the Houston game. Berry isn't expected back in time for the bowl game either.
Bumphis had 44 catches (22 more than the No. 2 receiver on Mississippi State's team) and also led the Bulldogs with 634 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
