No big surprise, but Georgia junior receiver A.J. Green made it official Sunday when he announced that he was entering his name into the NFL draft.
Green is projected as a top 5 pick and is easily one of the most complete receivers to come through the SEC in the past decade. He talked about possibly coming back for his senior season after serving his four-game suspension this season for selling one of his game jerseys.
But Green has nothing else to prove at the collegiate level and has all the tools to be a Pro Bowl receiver at the NFL level.
The deadline to declare for early entry is Jan. 15.
Next up is LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson, who's told several in and around the LSU program that he intends to turn pro.
