• Help me out: Did Paul Finebaum write a column about Florida coach Urban Meyer? How did it go over? A podcast from the Florida student paper on said column here. In an unrelated matter, the word of the day is "gadfly."
• Alabama's marquee matchup with Virginia Tech in Atlanta is already sold out. Depth of talent in the SEC? This list ranks Tide linebacker Rolando McClain 13th. The 2009 Butkus Award winner ranks 13th? Chris Lowe had him a bit higher.
• This high school quarterback and incoming freshman will switch to linebacker for Arkansas. 
• Video of Auburn coach Gene Chizik and Auburn players talking about the upcoming season.
• Kickoff is set for Georgia-Florida. Start time for cocktails is a bit more fluid. The Bulldogs top the Yellow Jackets in the preseason polls.
• Like father like son: It looks like LSU snagged a good one -- on multiple levels. Is it just me or does dad look like he could still play?
• This should help Ole Miss fans figure out which members of a 37-player recruiting class will be on hand this fall -- 24 have reported for summer school. And some of those guys might become TV stars!
