Will Friend, the offensive line coach at UAB, is set to join the Georgia staff as the Bulldogs' offensive line coach.
An announcement could come as early as Monday, reports Gentry Estes of Dawgs247.com.
Friend was a two-time All-SEC offensive lineman at Alabama. He worked as a graduate assistant at Georgia, and the other tie is current UAB coach Neil Calloway, who once worked under Mark Richt at Georgia
Friend replaces Stacy Searels, who left to take the offensive line job at Texas.
Richt also has to find a new linebackers coach. Warren Belin left last week for a job on the Carolina Panthers' staff.
